I'm Melanie Norman, a Registered Social Worker offering services in both English and French. With a Bachelor of Social Work (French) from Laurentian University and a Master of Social Work from the University of Waterloo, I bring over 9 years of experience in the mental health field. I'm passionate about supporting individuals, children, and families through their healing and growth journeys.

My Practice at JR Counselling Services

As part of the Family Services Department at JR Counselling Services, I specialize in individual therapy for children (starting at age 5) and youth. My areas of focus include emotion regulation, anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, trauma (past and present), bullying, self-esteem, relationship issues, and grief and loss.

I’m Maxime Bazinet, a bilingual Registered Social Worker offering services in both English and French. I hold a Bachelor of Social Work from Laurentian University and a Master of Social Work from the University of Waterloo. With over five years of experience in the mental health field, I’m deeply committed to supporting children, youth, and families in ways that feel safe, respectful, and meaningful.

My Practice at JR Counselling Services

As part of the Family Services Department at JR Counselling Services, I provide individual therapy for children and youth. I work with concerns such as emotional regulation, anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma (past and present), grief and loss, self-esteem, and relationship challenges. My focus is on helping young people feel seen and understood, while supporting them in building confidence, emotional awareness, and healthy coping skills.
